thinkfilm inc. takes home 3 Telly
Awards
The 27th Annual Telly Awards announced that thinkfilm was awarded 3
Telly Awards for several of its outstanding recent
productions.
A 1st place Silver Telly was awarded to ALWAYS THERE, produced by
thinkfilm for the American Hospital Association. Producer
Stephanie Antosca Boright and Director Joe Becker traveled to
hurricane-ravaged Mississippi to record the dramatic first-person
accounts of doctors, nurses and other hospital employees as they
described the hardships and triumphs they experienced as they
served their communities during hurricane Katrina.
A Bronze Award was given to THE MAKING OF OBLIVION produced by
thinkfilm’s Drew Vandervelde Shot in HD the one-hour
documentary follows the efforts of Bethesda Softworks as they work
to release of their next generation video game, “Elder
Scrolls IV: Oblivion.” The show is included on a
Special Collector’s Edition DVD of the award-winning
game.
Also receiving a Bronze Telly Award is the half-hour documentary,
COMMUNITY. Producer Jonathan Zurer, Director Michael Wenning
and DP Anton Klima explore the meaning of community by interviewing
architects, artists, psychologists, and others. This film was
unveiled at the American Institute of Architects national
convention in Las Vegas and is distributed on DVD.
